UMM Charitable Giving

The following Charitable Giving Projects are supported by the United Methodist Men of Christ of the Hills:


Boy Scouts of America

Donations are made to both the Ouachita Council and local Troop #7 meeting at Village Methodist Church.

Community Christmas Baskets

Each year, the UMM collects funds at Christmas time in order to provide holiday baskets for needy families in the Mountain Pine community. The men purchase, pack and deliver between 25-30 baskets containing food, paper goods and gifts for the children in each family.”

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Kids keeping to the promise of Jesus. Summer Camp could take 30 boys…160 went. Huddle groups meet for prayer in schools in the mornings.

Garland County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children, to make sure they don’t get lost in the overburdened legal and social service system.

Garland County Jail Ministry

Funds are provided for Christian videos and printed materials. Volunteers lead study and prayer groups in juvenile section.

Glenhaven Youth Ranch

This facility provides a home and schooling for at risk boys and girls. Christ of The Hills United Methodist Church has built and furnished “Christ House.” Funding has been provided for a ball field, an addition to the house, and general improvements. Members provide many volunteer hours at this facility.
