Senior Pastor, Dr. Walter "Bubba" Smith,
a native of Nashville, Arkansas, received his License to Preach in 1972
while a student at Hendrix College. A life long Methodist, Dr. Smith is
married to the former Diane Allen of Bismarck, Arkansas. They have two
children, married daughter Meredith Caver, son Will, a recent graduate
of the University of Arkansas, and two grandchildren. He is a Master
Grill/BBQ Chef and BBQ Grill Skills Instructor and is a proud graduate
of Lotta Bull U and The BBQ Institute.
Dr. Smith is a Chaplain, Col., United States Air Force
Reserves and received his Masters of Divinity from St. Paul School of
Theology, Kansas City, Missouri; his Doctorate of Ministry from Drew
University, Madison, New Jersey; and graduated from the Air War College.
He has served for 17 years as a volunteer chaplain for the Arkansas
State Police.
Dr. Smith has led 14 mission trips to Haiti and he serves
on the Pignon, Haiti Hospital Board of Directors.

Associate Pastor, Helen Stegall, served at Quapaw Quarter UMC as
worship coordinator and worked with both Stephen Ministry and Education
there, before coming to Christ of the Hills. Helen is a deacon in the
ordination process and is also certified in Spiritual Formation.
Married for 37 years, Helen and Phil have two adult
children both living in the New York City area. Her daughter is Client
Data Services Manager for Standard and Poors and her son works in the
film industry. Helen has one grandson, Carter, who was born in May 2006.
Helen received a Master of Arts degree in Specialized
Ministries from Liff School of theology in May 2005. She is a native
Arkansan and graduated from Central High School in Little Rock and the
University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Associate
Pastor, David B. Wilson, joined our staff on July 1, 2010. Rev. Wilson
received his pastor's license while in his junior year in high school
and served two small membership churches during his senior year.
He is a graduate of Southern Arkansas University in
Magnolia, AR, and St. Paul School of Theology (United Methodist) in
Kansas City, MO. After serving in many leadership roles within the
Methodist district and conference, he retired in 2006 as senior pastor
of First United Methodist Church, Hot Springs.
While in college, David Wilson married the former Carolyn
Templeton of El Dorado, AR. They are the parents of two children, Donna
Griffin (Stan) of Texarkana, TX, and Tim Wilson (Angie) of Hot Springs.
Four grandchildren also bless their lives: Rachel Griffin, Tyler
Griffin. Sam Wilson, and Wyatt Wilson.

Associate Pastor & Minister of Music, Reverend Pat Henry, is a multi-instrumentalist, playing
trumpet, trombone, piano, guitar, flute and other instruments. He has
directed church choirs for over 40 years. Pat is a native of the
western Texas plains and is a graduate of West Texas State University
(now West Texas A & M) in Canyon, Texas. He has also attended supplemental music schools at Midwestern University,
Indiana University, the University of Denver and Southern Methodist
University. Pat is also a graduate of the American School of Piano
Tuning, and is the only factory-certified Yamaha piano technician in
Arkansas. Pat
has been a Certified Advanced Lay-Speaker in the Methodist church for
several years and is currently a Deacon in the ordination process. Pat
and his family have been Arkansans for over thirty-five years and Pat
has been active in music during that time. Pat and his wife, June, have
three grown sons and eight grandchildren.

Organist, accompanist and director of Bells of the Hills,
Nikki Saltmarsh moved back to Arkansas from Alaska in 2007 and
joined our staff in September 2009. She holds music degrees in organ
from the University of Alaska of Fairbanks and served for 16 years at
Fairbanks’ First United Methodist Church. She was active in many other
performing and teaching activities in the music community there as well.
Here in Hot Springs Village, she accompanies the Village Chorale and is
active in the Village Players theatre group. She has two grown
daughters.
