 Mike
Morey comes to us from Searcy First United Methodist Church where he served five
years. He and his wife, Charlotte, have twin sons who are 24 years old. Scott is
a bank examiner and Steve is in his fourth year of pharmacy school at UAMS.
Mike is a graduate of Hall High, Little Rock, University of Central Arkansas,
and Illiff School of Theology. He has trained as an instructor for Disciple
Bible Study, Christian Believer, Bethel Bible Study, Alpha Study, and
participates in Connected in Christ.
Rev. Morey serves on the Hendrix Board of Trustees, has served as a clergy
delegate to Jurisdictional and General Conferences of the United Methodist
Church, serves on the South Central Jurisdiction Mission Council, and chairs the
Arkansas Conference Russian Initiative Committee.
Honors include the Denman Evangelism Award in 1999, the Large Church of the
Year, North Arkansas Conference in 2000, and the Large Church of the Year, North
District, 2006.
