Reverend Pat Henry, Associate Pastor & Minister of Music
Pat is a musician’s musician. Pat began playing the piano at age five, and began
learning trumpet at age eight. He was awarded the "Critics Circle" rating by the
National Piano Teacher’s Guild at age twelve, studied arranging under band
Leader Stan Kenton at age thirteen, and had trumpet instruction from "Tonight
Show" bandleader Doc Severinsen at age fifteen. Pat is a multi-instrumentalist
who plays piano, electric keyboard, trumpet, cornet, valve trombone, piccolo
trumpet, flugelhorn, flute, guitar, bass, and drums.
Pat has been active in church music for over 40 years. Since 2001 he has been
Director of Music at Christ of the Hills. Pat oversees all music activities at
the Church, which currently include the Chancel Choir, hand bell choirs,
instrumental ensembles and choral ensembles. |
Nikki
Saltmarsh Utter, Organist
Organist,
accompanist and director of Bells of the Hills, Nikki Saltmarsh Utter moved back
to Arkansas from Alaska in 2007 and joined our staff in September 2009. She
holds music degrees in organ from the University of Alaska of Fairbanks and
served for 16 years at Fairbanks’ First United Methodist Church. She was active
in many other performing and teaching activities in the music community there as
well. Here in Hot Springs Village, she accompanies the Village Chorale and is
active in the Village Players theatre group. She has two grown daughters. Nikki
and her husband, Dan, were recently married. |
