Fall Study
The Men's Fraternity
Led by Dr. Walter "Bubba" Smith
Tuesdays 7:00 - 8:30 a.m.
Three one-year studies
Begins September 7, 2010
This study is designed to engage the
heart as well as the mind, stripping away the myths of manhood allowing
each individual to become a true man of God. Currently more than 15,000
groups of men attend a weekly Men's Fraternity meeting. The three books
used in the study will be "The Quest of Authentic Manhood," "Authentic
Manhood: Winning at Work and Home," and "The Great Adventure Series."

emphasizes the rhythm of coming to God and going to God, of being in the
Word and in the world individually and corporately. It approaches all
experiences of life as opportunities for faithful witness and service.

notions of faith based only on the New Testament.

United Methodist Questions & Answers and Three Simple
Rules
Led by Pastors Smith and Stegall, and Dr. Walter Benjamin.
Four Sundays: 9/12, 9/18, 10/3, and 10/10
The study will be based on the two books
listed, and starts with a question and answer format to many of the
things we ask ourselves about what it means to be "Methodist." The
second portion offers an interpretation of John Wesley's General Rules
for today's readers. This study is appropriate for those new to the
United Methodist Church and to those "experienced" members with
inquiring minds.
