Sunday Services

Christ of the Hills UMC offers two worship services on Sunday, a Traditional Service at 8:50 a.m. and an Informal Service at 10:30 a.m. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. We have four Pastors on our Staff who share the glory of the Holy Spirit through inspirational sermons each Sunday.

An important part of our Sunday Worship Services, in addition to our pledged contributions, is our $Giving. We are told not to come before the Lord empty handed. Jesus tells us that where our treasure is found, there will be our hearts also. We participate by placing a dollar bill ($Giving) in the offering plate. At the end of each year, these offerings are totaled and then specified for projects meeting these three requirements.

1. The Grantee must be a faith-based organization.
2. The project must be for something that would not otherwise have been possible without this grant.
3. The grant must be awarded to a local organization.

In 2011, Christ of the Hill's Dollar a Week contributions were shared by 5 charitable organizations.

We are also extremely proud of our music ministry. On Sundays, our 75 member Chancel Choir sings beautiful anthems led by Associate Pastor and Music Minister, Rev. Pat Henry. Frequently, our Handbell Choir, Bells of the Hills which is directed by Nikki Saltmarsh, Organist, Accompanist plays inspirational songs for our enjoyment.

During the Worship Services, a favorite of our congregation is the "Children's Time," when the children join the Pastor at the altar for a special story.

In between Worship Services (10:00-10:30 a.m.), we invite you to share coffee, punch, and cookies with us in our Fellowship Hall.

Mid-Week Service

On Wednesday evenings, we gather in the Sanctuary at 5:15 p.m. for Prayer and a Communion Service. The Communion Service is followed at 5:45 p.m. by a meal and fellowship. You may make your reservations in one of the three ways described on the right side of this page.

Beginning in January 2012, WWW dinners will be held twice a month, on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday. On those dates, dinner will be served at the normal time of 5:45 p.m. The Wednesday Devotional and Communion Service will continue each Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. Programs are to be offered once a month at 6:30 p.m. You should find the programs interesting as well as entertaining because they may range from inspirational speakers to musical concerts to controversial subject matter.
